The Tata Nexon EV has been one of the most popular SUVs in the Indian market. And even though it’s just been a year since the electric SUV, Tata Motors has given it numerous updates to continue its dominance in the market. The Indian carmaker has given the electric SUV a larger 45 kWh battery pack and more features. Do note that the Nexon EV Long Range with the 40 kWh battery pack will continue to be on sale.
Obviously, these product interventions means the price of the Nexon EV has also gone up and we have detailed the variant-wise prices of the Nexon EV Long Range here:

Starting price of the Tata Nexon EV Long Range reduced by Rs 60,000 as it has been introduced in a lower variant.
The larger battery in the Nexon EV commands a premium of up to Rs 70,000.
Long Range version is now not available in the mid-spec Fearless + and Fearless + S variants.
Tata Motors has equipped the Nexon EV Long Range with a larger 45 kWh battery pack, a size up by 4.5 kWh when compared to the older model. It continues to be paired with a 145 PS / 215 Nm front-wheel drive e-motor and the larger battery pack means the ARAI claimed range has now increased from 465 km to 489 km. It must be noted that the Nexon EV with its 40 kWh battery will continue to be on sale.
Tata Motors also says the Nexon EV’s C75 claimed range (based on estimated real-world usage) stands at around 350 km to 370 km. As for charging capabilities, the larger battery pack in the Nexon EV can juice up from 10 to 80 percent in just 40 minutes using a 60 kW fast charger.
No changes have been made to the Nexon EV Medium Range, which continues with its 30 kWh battery pack and 129 PS e-motor.
Along with the introduction of the Long Range model, Tata Motors has introduced the hot looking Red Dark edition of the Nexon EV. The Carbon Black hue, along with the darked out badges, roof rails and black wheels, gives it a stealthy look.
Even on the inside, the cabin theme has been updated with a black / red theme that looks spicy hot. To gel along with the overall look, the screens also have a dark theme and the headrests on the front seats have the “Dark” embossing on it.
The Tata Nexon EV has also been updated with one new feature addition which you all love – a panoramic sunroof. Apart from that, the electric SUV can be had with a frunk, improving its practicality quotient.

The Nexon EV was already a well loaded car and features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats and cruise control have been carried forward.
Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with 360-degree camera, electronic stability control and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
The introduction of this new battery pack makes the Nexon EV a more formidable rival against the Mahindra XUV400, Tata Curvv Medium Range and the recently launched MG Windsor EV. In fact, its specifications now put it almost on par with the MG ZS EV.
