Tata Motors has officially introduced the all-electric variant of its micro-SUV, the Punch EV. It boasts a distinct design from its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart and comes with new features as well. Bookings for the Punch EV are now open, and if you're considering purchasing one, here are the variant-wise powertrain choices available with the Punch EV.
The Tata Punch EV is offered in five broad trims: Smart, Smart +, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered +. You have the option to choose from powertrain options: Standard and Long Range. Check out all the variant-wise powertrain choices provided with it below.

In total, you have the option to choose from 8 variants for the Tata Punch EV. If you are looking to configure the Punch EV with more range then you will have to choose the Long Range variant which is offered from the mid-spec Adventure onwards.
Tata Motors is yet to reveal the engine specifications of the Punch EV, but its specifications should be nearly identical to the Tigor EV’s 26 kWH battery pack in the Standard variant and Nexon EV Medium Range’s 30 kWh battery pack in the Punch EV Long Range variant as it will be positioned between these two models. Expect the prices of the Tata Punch EV to start from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata will likely announce the prices of the micro-SUV sometime later this month. When launched it will rival the Citroen eC3 while being an alternative to the Tata Tigor EV.
