Tata Nexon EV Max will soon get a Dark Edition with all-black exteriors and black wheels alongside black-themed interiors.
It’ll also get a new, larger touchscreen, the Harrier’s 10.25-inch unit.
Will continue to be powered by 40.5kWh battery pack good for up to 453km of range (MIDC claimed).
Should be priced at a premium of around Rs 30,000 over the respective standard variants.
The Nexon EV Max currently retails from Rs 16.49 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Tata offers snazzy, all-black versions of many models in its lineup, and a new electric vehicle (EV) is also about to get the option. A social media teaser shows that the Nexon EV Max will soon be launched in the Dark Edition with a larger touchscreen –the 10.25-inch unit from the Harrier. The EV’s standard-range version, the Nexon EV Prime, already gets a Dark Edition with its top-spec variants.

With the Dark Edition, the Tata Nexon EV Max should get the following changes inside-out:
Black paintwork
Satin-black treatment for exterior trim bits
Charcoal grey alloy wheels
“Dark” fender badge
Dark-themed interiors with piano-black dash trim piece
Black-themed leatherette seats and door trimmings
The visual changes in the Nexon EV Max Dark Edition will lend the electric SUV a completely murdered-out aesthetic right from the factory. The Dark Edition should be offered on the higher-spec XZ+ and XZ+ Lux trims in the e-SUV.
Apart from the new paint colour and black-theme visual changes, the Nexon EV Max will also get a larger touchscreen that seems to be the Harrier’s 10.25-inch unit. In addition, the EV gets ventilated front seats, an electric sunroof, electronic parking brake, a Harman sound system, wireless phone charger, cruise control and connected car tech with smartwatch integration. For safety, the Nexon EV Max gets dual front airbags, a tyre-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), stability control, hill hold assist and hill descent control, ISOFIX child seat anchors and rear parking camera.

Since its last software update, the EV gets a range of 453km (earlier 437km) from its 40.5kWh battery pack. It’s powered by a 143PS/250Nm e-motor that’s good for nought to 100kmph in around nine seconds as per our tests. To know our impressions of the Nexon EV Max, check out our first drive review.
The Nexon EV Max Dark Edition should be priced at a slight premium over the respected standard variants, say of around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000. The EV retails from Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the Mahindra XUV400 EV and offers a more affordable alternative to the MG ZS EV.
