The electric Hummer was revealed back in October 2020

The gaming world of first-person shooting under Activision’s Call Of Duty franchise is set to feature the GMC Hummer EV in its two upcoming games: Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2.0. It will be the first playable electric vehicle to feature in the franchise, however, only the pickup variant of the Hummer will be featured in the games.

The GMC Hummer EV made its first appearance in October 2020. The electric off-roading capable vehicle is available in two body styles- SUV and pickup truck, however, the SUV body style will go into production in the first quarter of next year. Deliveries for the pickup body style are underway in markets abroad, and GMC says that it has garnered over 90,000 combined bookings for the Hummer EV.

The Hummer EV’s powertrain comprises a 1000PS electric motor that sits on the 800-Volt electric architecture. The ultra-fast charging compatible powertrain allows for a charge of up to 350kW, which can provide a range of up to 161km in just 10 minutes of plug-in time. The pack makes for a great long-distance EV with a claimed range of more than 563km.

We don’t expect the Hummer EV to make its way to India as GMC is owned by General Motors, a brand associated with Chevrolet in India, which ceased its operations in the country in 2017.
