A spy shot of a test mule of Chennai-based electric mobility brand Raptee Motors has surfaced on the internet. The spy image shows a sporty-looking motorcycle with a sleek design. The full-fairing yet streetfighter-like designed front and rear make it look a tad similar to the Ultraviolette F77. That said, its front bears a bit of a resemblance to the Suzuki Gixxer.
Raptee Motors claim that its bike has a rather impressive top speed of 135 kmph and a real world range of 150 km. Other bits that the company promises for its e-bike is a TFT console, 3.5 seconds to go from 0-60kmph and a 0-80 percent charge in 45 minutes through a CCS2 fast charger. It has a split-seat setup, an aluminium swingarm, seemingly similar to the famed gullwing design found on the Triumph Street Triple range; along with a mono-shock and alloy wheels.

While these bits indeed sound promising, we’ll have to be patient and play the waiting game. The company had earlier showcased its electric bike concept at the 2022 Auto Expo. It had, in fact, even put up a teaser on social media last month, one that featured a bike that looks quite similar to the one in this spy shot. It, hence, could come here sometime early next year and could be priced around Rs 2.9 lakh (ex-showroom). With the Ultraviolette F77 slated to launch later this month, the performance-oriented electric motorcycle segment in India seems to be spicing up and we’re all here for it!
