Ultraviolette has broken the record and is the fastest Indian motorcycle
Completed the quarter-mile in just 10.712 seconds
Aims to set the record for the highest top-speed by an Indian motorcycle
Ultraviolette, the Bengaluru-based startup, has shattered the record for the fastest Indian motorcycle with the F99. A few weeks back, Narayan Subramaniam (CEO of Ultraviolette Automotive) commented that they would be at the Valley Run 2024 and aim to shatter two-records. First, the fastest quarter-mile time by an Indian motorcycle and second, the highest top-speed by an Indian motorcycle.
Ultraviolette F99 completed the quarter-mile in just 10.712 seconds (FMSCI certified) which is superbike territory. They have broken the record which was previously set back in 2022. In order to break the record, the F99 had to shed some weight and in order to do so, it gets a full carbon fibre exoskeleton, carbon fibre battery pack, and a carbon fibre sub-frame. The F99 makes 120PS and 972Nm at the wheel, it gets a 400V battery pack and a liquid-cooled drivetrain and weighs in at just 180kg. The bike accelerates from 0-100kmph in under 3 seconds and reaches 200kmph in under 10 seconds.
To celebrate this record, Ultraviolette has launched limited edition merchandise which has the “The Fastest Indian” livery and will be limited to 99-units.
Ultraviolette aims to break another record in the upcoming days, the highest top-speed by an Indian motorcycle.
Ultraviolette setting the record for the fastest Indian motorcycle is a positive thing for the Indian automotive industry. This will push other manufacturers to make better products which will have better build quality, better technology and perform better.
