The Tata Punch EV has been spotted once again, and with each sighting, we uncover something new about the model. Earlier spy shots gave us a clear view of Punch EV’s rear and side profile. This time, we have a look at the car's front profile, its new headlights and DRLs.
The Tata Punch EV will get new LED headlights (from the Nexon EV) that are placed in a redesigned housing. It will also get other alterations such as revised LED DRLs that are likely to span the full width of the car as well as revised grille and bumper.
It also features new 5-spoke alloy wheels and the electric model will get disc brakes for the rear wheel as well. The rear profile design is similar to that of the current Punch, but the Punch EV is likely to get a set of new LED connected taillights, in line with the trend seen with current Tata models. All these design changes preview the updates that will be made to the standard Punch as well.

Earlier spy shots of the Punch EV revealed that it could feature a revamped interior with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. It will also get an electronic parking brake with auto-hold and a gear selector with an integrated display.
The Punch EV should also be equipped with a range of features, including a fully digital driver’s display, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, and a sunroof. Its safety features should include ABS with EBD, up to 6 airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a rear parking camera with sensors.
The Punch EV will be positioned between the Tigor EV and Nexon EV and will be offered with two powertrain choices: Medium Range and Long Range. The Medium Range variant could get Tigor EV’s powertrain, while the Long Range variant could include Nexon EV’s base powertrain. You can take a look at its powertrain specs detailed in our earlier story over here.
It is expected that Tata Motors could reveal the Punch EV later this year, and it could carry a price tag of Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of the Citroen eC3 and will be a premium alternative to cars like the Tata Tiago EV and Tigor EV.
