Deliveries of the Tata Punch EV, which is already on display at dealerships, have commenced across the country. Earlier this month, the prices for the Punch EV, which is available with two battery options, was revealed to be starting from Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Tata Punch is available in 5 variants: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered and Empowered+. While the Standard Range’s 25 kWh battery option is available across the range, customers wanting the Long Range 35 kWh battery have to choose from Adventure onwards. An optional 7.2kW fast charger is available on all Long Range variants for an additional Rs 50,000.
In terms of features, the Tata Punch EV comes loaded with a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system, a new fully digital driver’s display, sunroof (optional), a 360-degree camera system and an electronic parking brake. Tata has also offered features like wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, and a built-in air purifier. Check out more features of the Tata Punch EV here.
Coming to the safety front, the Tata Punch EV will come with six airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control (ESC) as standard.
The Tata Punch EV gets two powertrain options - Standard Range and Long Range. The former gets a 82 PS/114 Nm motor with a 25 kWh battery while the latter comes with a 122 PS/190 Nm motor and a 35 kWh battery pack. The ARAI-claimed range is 315 km and 421 km respectively.
The main competitor to the Tata Punch EV is the Citroen eC3. It will also function as an SUV alternative to models such as the Tata Tiago EV and Tata Tigor EV.
