The Mahindra XUV400 EV is essentially based on the same platform as the XUV300. However, unlike the auto fuel-powered SUV that measures under four metres, the all-electric SUV is over four metres long, as EVs don’t need to qualify for sub-four-metre norms to attract lower taxes. As a result, you have a tad more boot space than before.

While variant details aren’t officially out yet, as per a Delhi RTO document, the SUV is likely to be offered in the following trims: Base, EP and EL. It’ll be offered in five colour choices: Arctic Blue, Everest White, Napoli Black, Infinity Blue and Galaxy Grey. The easiest way to tell the SUV apart is to look out for copper highlights and a closed-off front end.
