Auto Expo 2025 hosted various new international automakers, including new brands, which made their India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Vietnamese VinFast was one of them, debuting a wide range of electric vehicles. Among its lineup, the teensy-weensy VF3 was a major attraction.
Since VinFast has announced its market entry with the VF 6 and VF 7 in the coming months, the VF3 is also likely on the cards with a launch expected later this year. On the flip side, Vayve Mobility recently launched its Eva – an all-electric microcar, making it India’s most affordable electric car. Although they are not direct competitors, both the VF3 and Eva made everyone curious. Hence, here is a detailed comparison between the two small electric cars.

Similar to the MG Windsor, Vayve Mobility offers the Eva with a battery subscription programme but customers can also buy it as a complete package. The prices of the former range between Rs 3.25 lakh and Rs 4.49 lakh (ex-showroom), while the complete ownership of the Eva costs Rs 3.99 lakh to Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The micro-electric EV comes in three variants: Nova, Stella, and Vega.
On the other hand, VinFast has not launched the VF3 in India yet. However, we expect the small electric car to come with a price tag of about Rs 10 lakh.

As mentioned earlier, the VF3 and Eva are not direct rivals as it is evident from their dimensions as well. The Eva is a much smaller car in length, width, and height compared to its closest rival. However, it surprisingly boasts a tad longer wheelbase.

Both electric cars are reasonably equipped with features, such as an infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and fast-charging USB ports. The Eva, in addition to that, comes with a mini refrigerator, auto-dimming IRVM, driving modes, 4 speakers, and a glass roof, which incorporates solar cells. Unlike the dual airbags, traction control, and hill start assist on the VF3, the Eva gets a single airbag and TPMS.

The VF3 and Eva come powered by a similar capacity battery pack and deliver a claimed range of up to 210 km and up to 250 km, respectively. The real-world range may differ depending on various factors, including usage, driving style, and traffic conditions. They also support AC and DC charging, which misses out on the MG Comet EV.
VinFast might launch the VF3 in India, however, it has not confirmed its launch yet. If launched, it would be priced from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). In India, the VF3 will take on the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV alongside other closest rivals, such as the Vayve Eva. On the other hand, the Vayve Eva does not have any direct competitors in the market at the moment.
The VinFast VF3 is a tiny retro-looking electric SUV. On paper, it promises several essential features and up to a 210 km range. Plus, it offers dual airbags and other key safety features. Not to mention the support for DC charging. Whereas, the Vayve Eva – a micro electric car stands out in the crowd with its unique design, similar to the three-wheeler blue car seen in the famous Mr. Bean television show.
Not only that, it has a range of features and claims to deliver up to 250 km range. It also offers DC charging capability. While the VF3 can accommodate up to 4 passengers, the Eva can accommodate only 2 adults and a child. We will have to wait until the VF3 goes on sale to find out which is well worth considering.
While the Vayve Eva has already launched in the Indian market, VinFast is yet to confirm the plans to launch the VF3 for the Indian market.
