The maxi-scooter market is heating up, especially with the introduction of the Keeway Vieste 300. This Hungarian maxi-scooter perfectly bridges the huge gap between the Yamaha Aerox, Aprilia SXR 160, and the BMW C400 GT. Here’s an image gallery of this chiseled European maxi-scooter.
The Keeway Vieste is a legit maxi-scooter in terms of its overall aggressive styling and dimensions. The sleek aerodynamic design with muscular bodywork gives the scooter a proper premium appeal.
Further complimenting the fascia are the attractive headlights, powered by four LED projectors with DRLs which should offer ample illumination. The turn indicators sit flush with the bodywork for that distinctly clean look.
As the scooter comes with a keyless fob, the traditional key slot is now replaced with an illuminated knob that oozes premiumness.
The Vieste 300 has an analog-digital instrument console that looks like it's borrowed from a car. The scooter comes equipped with ambient temperature gauge, tripmeter, fuel gauge, engine temperature gauge and maintenance indicator among others. It also comes with a keyless fob.
The Vieste 300 comes equipped with a single seat with an embedded lower back support for the rider, which should enhance comfort over longer distances.
The eye-catching bodywork encases a 278cc liquid cooled engine, producing 18.7PS and 22Nm, making it the most powerful scooter in the sub-300cc segment.
The scooter sits on 13-inch wheels, wrapped with 110/70 and 130/70 tyres. Underpinnings include front and rear disc brakes, telescopic shock absorbers and dual-channel ABS.
The Hungarian scooter is equipped with a chunky exhaust that resembles the Suzuki Hayabusa. A closer look at the rear braking system reveals that the ABS ring is mounted separately on the other side of the disc, something we haven’t seen before.
While this scooter definitely looks lovely, its success will depend on dealership reach and pricing. We expect the Vieste 300 to be priced around Rs 2.50 lakh, which would slot it between the Yamaha Aerox and the more premium BMW C400 GT.
