CFMoto will soon launch its all-new flagship tourer, the CF1250J. Ahead of that, the police-spec variant of the tourer has hit the streets of China. During the unveiling of the police-spec motorcycle, CFMoto revealed the specifications of the CF125J.
From previously leaked spy images, we already know how the CF1250J tourer looks. While retaining the large windscreen and panniers, the police-spec motorcycle gets new livery and additional equipment like a radio, beacons and sirens. The stock motorcycle gets all-LED lighting, electric windscreen, heard grips, and a massive 12.3-inch colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.

The full-sized tourer is powered by a KTM LC8 derived V-twin motor. The 1,279cc liquid-cooled motor punches out 142.76PS and 120Nm. CFMoto claims the CF1250J can hit a top speed of 240kmph. The tourer gets four rider modes.
The police-spec CF1250J weighs a hefty 297kg, but we expect the civilian version to be substantially lighter. While suspension details have not yet been revealed, the CF1250J appears to have fat upside-down forks and a monoshock. Going by the helmet and luggage icons on the instrument console display, we believe the suspension is a semi-active unit with electronic damping adjustment. Braking is via large dual discs fitted with radially mounted Brembo calipers and a rear disc with dual-channel ABS. It gets 120/70 ZR17 front and 190/55 ZR17 rear radial tyres.
With the civilian version set to launch in China soon, it remains to be seen if the Chinese bikemaker launches the CF1250J here. CFMoto already sells almost its entire portfolio in India and if it launches the CF1250J here, the sports tourer could heavily undercut other tourers like the BMW R 1250 RT, Harley Davidson Road Glide Special, and Honda Goldwing.
