Royal Enfield has filed trademarks for two new logos, one a badge logo and the other a new typeface logo. Trademarking of these logos doesn’t really confirm new products, as we have seen in the past.
The first logo is very similar to the tank badge we have seen on some variants of the Interceptor 650 and the Classic 350. It has been filed in black and white so that Royal Enfield has the freedom to change the colours as they want in the future.
The second one is a typeface logo with “Royal Enfield” written in cursive, and is more likely to be used for the brand’s apparel and merchandise range. The logo is also quite similar to the English ‘The Enfield Cycle Company Limited’s’ range of ‘Royal Enfield’ bicycles from the late 1800s. This logo could be one of the ways the brand is paying homage to its rich history. Plus it would look really cool on a t-shirt, wouldn’t it? But if Royal Enfield was to start making bicycles once again, we really wouldn’t mind. Maybe an electrically-assisted bicycle? Who knows.
