The recently launched 2021 Maruti Celerio’s design is more chic and curvier than its predecessor. And to go along with it, India’s largest carmaker has provided the hatch with six exterior paint options.
Here’s a closer look at all of them:
Speedy Blue: This shade is new to the Celerio and looks unique when compared to the Tiago’s Arizona Blue colour.
Solid Fire Red: If you’d prefer your Celerio to have that sporty presence, then this author would suggest you to pick this colour. The black alloys nicely contrast with the red.
Caffeine Brown: This colour shouts elegance when compared to the other paints on offer.
Silky Silver: The no-nonsense colour which would be appreciated by the majority.
Glistening Grey: A neutral colour that gels along well with the Celerio’s line and curves.
Arctic White: The colour to pick if you’re unable to choose from the above five options.
The Celerio is based on the updated Heartect platform that underpins models like the Wagon R. It’s powered by Maruti’s new 67PS 1-litre K10C petrol engine, teamed with either a 5-speed manual or an optional 5-speed AMT. A CNG version is expected to join the lineup in the near future.
When it comes to features, the hatch gets keyless entry with push button start (segment-first), a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, power windows, a multi-info display, and multi-info display. Passenger safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and hill-hold assist (AMT only).
The Celerio is priced between Rs 4.99 lakh and Rs 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom). It locks horns with the Tata Tiago, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, Hyundai Santro, and Datsun GO.
