Thanks to the new transmission options, Hyundai has managed to lower the entry-level prices of the i20 N Line by Rs 20,000. And despite the changes and revisions, the price for the top-spec model is still the same as the outgoing model. There’s also a new lower-end DCT variant on offer.
2023 Hyundai i20 N Line Design
Just like the changes to the standard i20, the i20 N Line facelift too gets modest cosmetic tweaks. The nose sports a new grille with the Hyundai logo on it and revised bumpers along with the new elements for the LED headlights. You still get that red insert on the front lip, which continues towards the side sills, adding a dash of sportiness and contrast.
New in profile is the design for the 16-inch alloys wheels, which looks snazzier than the outgoing model’s straightforward design. For that added sporty flavour, the brake callipers get a red finish to them, just like it did in the outgoing model.

Changes at the rear are few and far between, with the same Z-shaped LED taillights, dual exhaust tips, and diffuser. Just like the standard i20, the tail lights are connected via a chrome strip garnish.
It is offered in 5 monotone and 2 dual-tone color options, which includes the new Abyss Black color.
2023 Hyundai i20 N Line Interior and Features
The changes to the cabin of the i20 N Line are pretty scarce as well. Just like before, you get a blacked-out cabin theme, splashed with red inserts on the AC vents, climate control knobs, seat stitching, central console and inside the pockets on the door armrests.
It still gets the proper N-spec three-spoke steering wheel, but the features list is similar to the standard i20. The list includes a C-type charger (new addition), a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, automatic climate control, a digital driver’s display, sunroof, wireless phone charger, keyless entry with push-button start, and cruise control.
It gets an expansive list of standard safety features comprising six airbags, four disc brakes, ESC, hill-hold assist, a tyre pressure monitor and a reversing camera with rear parking sensors.
2023 Hyundai i20 N Line Powertrains
The facelifted Hyundai i20 N Line retains its 1-litre turbo-petrol motor producing 120PS and 172Nm. But one transmission pairing is new, as Hyundai has chucked the iMT gearbox and replaced it with a proper 6-speed manual for a more involving drive experience. The only automatic transmission option still comes in the form of a 7-speed DCT, but it can now be had with both the trims.
Of course, it still gets the tweaks to its suspension and steering geometry for a more dynamic ride. Hyundai has also played around with the exhaust for a throatier sound experience.

With small updates to the design, a few feature additions and a lower entry point, Hyundai has managed to retain the unique package that the i20 N Line offers, but with an even heightened sense of appeal. Unique because there isn’t an affordable hot hatch in India at this price point, and the i20 N Line is the only that comes close to being called one. With no direct rivals, it offers a sportier alternative to the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, and Tata Altroz.
