Hyundai has just launched the 2023 Verna in the country with an introductory starting price tag of Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new sedan is a radical departure from the previous one and boasts new styling, features and even powertrains. There is a lot of kit that is new on the compact sedan, some of which are segment-first, so let’s see what the four variants (EX, S, SX and SX(O)) of the new Verna bring to the table.
But before you dive deeper into the nitty-gritty, let's get the powertrains on offer out of the way. There are two petrol options: 115PS/144Nm 1.5-litre NA and 160PS/253Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol. A six-speed manual is standard throughout, while the former gets a CVT option and the turbo-petrol gets a DCT. Now over to the variant-wise features:
