2023 Tata Nexon Facelift: Variant-wise Features Explained

The Tata Nexon has solely been headlining the news section of the sub-compact SUV segment in India lately and for good reason. The facelifted Nexon was just recently launched with a thorough styling revision, new feature additions, and multiple powertrain options. 

It is offered in four broad trims: Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless. Each of these are offered in a signature hue, which goes like Calgary White, Pure Grey, Ocean Blue, and Fearless Purple, respectively. 

We’ve detailed all the visual changes on the Nexon in our image gallery article, but today we take a look at its variant-wise features list. Let’s start at the beginning:

Tata Nexon Smart Variant

Engine options: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 5-speed MT only

Here’s what the base-spec Tata Nexon packs:

The Smart+ trim of the Nexon packs the following kit over the base-spec model:

• Shark fin antenna

• Electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs

• Steering mounted controls

• Rear power windows

• 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system

• Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

• 4 speakers

Tata Nexon Smart + S Variant

Engine options: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 5-speed MT only

The Smart+ S trim of the Nexon gets the following equipment over the Smart + variant:

• Electric sunroof

• Auto headlights

• Rain-sensing wipers

• Roof rails

Tata Nexon Pure Variant

Engine options: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed MT

Here’s what the Pure variant of the Nexon features over the Smart + S trim:

• Bi-function full LED headlights

• Connected LED taillamps (lit)

• Roof rails

• Piano black ORVMs

• 16-inch steel wheels with wheel covers

• Blacked-out pillars for floating roof effect

Note: The Pure variant does not offer auto headlights and rain-sensing wipers offered in the Smart + S variant.

Tata Nexon Pure S Variant

Engine options: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed MT

Here’s what the Pure S variant offers over the base Pure trim:

The Creative variant of the Tata Nexon boasts these features over the Pure S variant:

Note: Auto headlights, voice-assisted electric sunroof, and rain-sensing wipers aren’t offered in the Creative variant

Tata Nexon Creative+ Variant

The Creative + variant of the Tata Nexon packs the following features over the Creative variant:

• Leather gear knob finish

• Auto-folding ORVMs

• Cruise control

• Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay

• Auto-dimming IRVM

• 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system

Tata Nexon Creative+ S Variant

Engine options: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed MT/AMT/7-speed DCT or 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed MT/AMT

Here’s what the Creative + S variant of the Tata Nexon packs over the Creative + variant:

• Voice-assisted electric sunroof

• Height-adjustable driver and co-driver seat belts

Tata Nexon Fearless Variant

Engine options: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed MT//7-speed DCT or 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed MT/AMT

The Fearless variant packs the following things over the Creative + S variant:

• Sequential LED DRLs with welcome function

• LED tail lamps with welcome and goodbye function

• Stylised front wiper

• Rear centre armrest with cupholders

• Front armrest

• 60:40 split fold rear seats

• Air purifier

• Eight speaker sound system (4 speakers + 4 tweeters)

• Cooled + illuminated glovebox

• Wireless charger

• X-press Cool (MAX AC setting)

• 10.25-inch digital driver’s display

• Rear defogger

Note: It doesn’t get the voice-assisted electric sunroof offered in the Creative + S trim.

Tata Nexon Fearless S Variant

This is what the Fearless S variant packs over the Fearless variant of the Nexon:

Tata Nexon Fearless + Variant

Here’s what the Fearless + variant features over the Fearless S variant:

• Ventilated front seats

• Leatherette seats

• Height-adjustable co-driver’s seat

• Leatherette armrest

• 10.25-inch infotainment screen with slim bezel

• Connected car technology

Note: It doesn’t get the voice-assisted electric sunroof offered in the Fearless S trim.

Tata Nexon Fearless + S Variant

Engine options: 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 6-speed MT/7-speed DCT or 1.5-litre diesel engine with 6-speed MT/AMT

Here’s what the top-spec Fearless + S variant features over the Fearless +:

• Voice assisted electric sunroof

• 9-speaker JBL sound system (AMT and DCT only)
