The upcoming 2024 Hyundai Alcazar has been spied testing multiple times under heavy camouflage giving us few design cues which the upcoming family SUV will carry. Now, the upcoming facelifted Alcazar is all set to mark its entry on September 9, 2024 and prices will be announced on the same day. In this article, we take an overview of what all has been spied yet and everything that is expected from the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar.
The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar is expected to be given a similar treatment which the Creta received at the starting of the year, but with a few tweaks. The front fascia will get overhauled looks with a redesigned broader grille with different inserts and a connected (H-shaped) LED DRL setup. The headlamp cluster is lower down on the bumpers, but gets a more boxy shape.
The side profile will retain the elongated silhouette, but with redesigned sporty looking alloy wheels, as was spotted earlier. Apart from this, the Alcazar could also be offered in new exterior colour shades as well.
The rear will most likely get some redesigned elements to distinguish it from the Creta. It is expected to get an all LED connected tail light setup. The earlier spied images suggest that they will be vertically stacked.
Similar to the facelifted Creta, the upcoming Alcazar facelift will get the new interior layout, albeit in a different shade of interior colour scheme for its unique appeal. The facelifted Hyundai Alcazar will most likely be offered in both 6- and 7- seater configuration as before.
It will retain the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, but now they are integrated together.
Additionally, it will get niceties such as a large panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, power adjustable driver’s seat, front seat ventilation and a premium Bose surround sound system. Furthermore it is expected to get a dual-zone automatic climate control unit, air purifier and multi-colour ambient lighting.
Safety tech will be packed up to the brim with 6-airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control as standard along with a 360 degree surround view camera with front and rear parking sensors, 3-point seatbelts with reminder for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat mounts, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) and ADAS features like blind spot detection, emergency braking, lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
The upcoming 2024 Hyundai Alcazar will most likely retain the engine options. These include the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 PS and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 PS. Transmission options are a 6-speed manual as standard along with a 6-speed torque converter for the diesel engine and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic for the turbo-petrol engine.
The upcoming 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift could command a premium over the current model, which retails from Rs 16.78 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with other midsize SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV700, MG Hector Plus, and Tata Safari.
