From styling revisions to features additions to the new engine option, here’s a 360-degree look at the 2024 Creta facelift

After what seems to be an eon, the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is finally here in India. With introductory prices starting from Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom), this one is different from the international-spec Creta facelift which broke cover a couple of years ago. There are changes to the exterior and interior design, new features and a new engine option as well. We take a look at all of those updates in 10 images:

Remember the rounded styling of outgoing Creta which split opinions left and right? Well, Hyundai seems to have made the Creta a lot more palatable with this update that brings a more upright stance and squarish styling elements for the compact SUV. Inspiration from the international Palisade is obvious at the front with a big and square grille and the connected LED DRLs with an inverted L-shaped signature. The LED headlights also take on a square shape now while some cladding below and a chunky skid plate completes the design at the front.

The side profile is more or less similar, save for the new wheel designs. Touches like the shark fin antenna and the roof rails do add substance to the styling.

The rear however, embraces modernisation with connected LED tailights that imitate the inverted L-shaped signature of the DRLs at the front. Again, some heavy cladding for the bumper completes the design at the rear.

The 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift gets six monotone and 1 dual tone colour option. The monotone shades are Abyss Black, Robust Emerald Pearl (new), Fiery Red, Ranger Khaki, Atlas White, and Titan Grey. The only dual tone option comes with a Altas White shade for the body and Abyss Black hue for the roof.

The game has been upped on the inside as well, with a proper makeover of the dashboard with dual screens on a single bezel, sleek air vents and physical button and knobs for the AC controls. Splashes of ambient lighting elevate the mood inside the cabin, which retains the outgoing model’s steering. The dual tone theme (across the variant lineup) uses light colours and piano black elements, adding a sense of space inside the cabin.

New features are plenty and the list includes the 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, and Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS) (limited to SX Tech and SX(O) variants). Features like 10.25-inch infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a Bose sound system have been retained.

In typical Hyundai fashion, it gets a host of standard safety features, including six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child mounts, rear parking sensors, and hill-start assist.

With this update, Hyundai has retained the 1.5-litre NA petrol and diesel options of the Creta. But a new addition comes in the form of the Verna-sourced 160 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which replaces the old 1.4-lite turbo petrol engine. Here’s a look at all the engines and their corresponding transmission options:
