Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the 2024 Swift tomorrow (May 9, 2024). Bookings for the fourth-gen hatchback are underway and the vehicle has reached dealerships, giving us a crystal clear first look. If you had your eyes on one, then here are 5 things you should know ahead of its launch tomorrow:

2024 Swift Exterior Design 

The 2024 Swift has been leaked in India ahead of its launch. And it looks largely similar to the international-spec model with a new grille dominating the face, flanked by a pair of redesigned LED headlights. 

The silhouette design is familiar, but keen-eyed readers will notice the India-spec model gets a bespoke set of alloys. Also, the rear door handles are now at a conventional location,  instead of on the C-pillar  like on the outgoing car. Moving to the rear, you now get a new set of clear lens LED tail lamps with a C-shaped motif. 

2024 Swift Interior Design 

Inside, the new Swift’s dashboard layout and design take inspiration from other Maruti cars such as the Fronx and Grand Vitara. The dashboard is finished in black with silver highlights, giving it a sporty atmosphere. You also get a handful of new features, which we have detailed in the next section. 

2024 Swift Features On Board 

New features on the 2024 Swift include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger and six airbags (as standard).

Bits such as automatic climate control, cruise control, analogue dials with a multi-info display, keyless entry with push-button start, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors with camera are present as well. 

2024 Swift Engine Option 

Underneath the hood, the new-gen 2024 Swift will get a brand new 82PS 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, replacing the outgoing 90PS four-cylinder unit. 2024 Swift Expected Price And Rivals 

One can expect the new-gen 2024 Swift to command a notable premium over the outgoing model, which was priced from Rs 6.25 lakh (ex-showroom). It will renew its rivalry with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and will be an alternative to the Renault Triber, Tata Punch and Nissan Magnite.
