The teaser showcases the new massive grille dominating the front-end, flanked by a pair of redesigned LED headlights with sleeker DRLs. The Suzuki logo now takes its position on top of the grille. Inside, the new Swift gets a redesigned cabin, which takes inspiration from other Maruti cars such as the Fronx and Baleno. That said, the Swift gets a black/grey white colour scheme for a sportier look. To take a look at all the new features expected in the upcoming 2024 Swift, check out this report.
The Swift will get bolstered safety, as it should pack in six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors and electronic stability control. It remains to be seen if ADAS will be on offer, but a test mule in India was spotted sporting the tech. Also, recently, the Swift was crash tested by Japan NCAP, where it secured a solid four stars in the crash safety tests.

Underneath the hood, the new-gen Swift is expected to come with a brand new 82PS 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine replacing the outgoing four-cylinder unit. Internationally, this engine can be had with either a 5-speed manual and a CVT. For India, Maruti could offer an AMT to keep costs in check.
One can expect the new-gen Swift to be priced equal to or slightly higher than the outgoing model, which was priced from Rs 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios as well as similarly priced vehicles from other segments such as the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite and Renault Triber.
