The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift, which has been revealed in Japan, is expected to be launched on our shores next year. It will rival the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios and Tata Punch. With the dimensions of the 2024 Swift now available, we check out how it fares with its competitors.

The 2024 Swift is the longest among the three cars here. However, the Punch is wider and it, being an SUV, is taller than both the other cars. The Grand i10 Nios is the shortest and narrowest car here. The wheelbase of all three cars are nearly identical, with the Punch falling short by just 5mm.

Engine Options
The 2024 Swift will be powered by a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, replacing the current four-cylinder unit. The Japan-spec model is paired with a CVT, while the India-spec model can be expected with both manual and automatic transmission choices. Both the Grand i10 Nios and Tata Punch can be configured with a CNG kit, which is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the 2024 Swift next year in India, and it will carry a premium over the current Swift, which starts from Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios start from Rs 5.84 lakh (ex-showroom) and that of Tata Punch start from Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
