Tata Curvv Pure+: Exterior Design
The Curvv Pure+ variant’s fascia features LED DRLs and LED headlamps. However, the LED headlights are not connected. They don’t feature the welcome and goodbye animation and another miss on the front are the LED fog lamps with cornering function which are available on higher-spec variants.
Coming to the sides, you will first notice the sloping roofline which is eye-catching and appealing. With the Pure+ variant, you get 16-inch steel wheels, but unlike the base variant, it gets a wheel cover that looks much better than plain steel wheels . A feature that is standard across all variants are the flush door handles with a welcome light.
The rear of the Curvv gets LED tail lamps, but they are not connected. Apart from this, it gets a roof-mounted rear spoiler and a shark fin antenna, but misses out on a rear defogger.
The color options with this variant include: Pristine White, Daytona Grey, Flame Red and Opera Blue. It misses out on the Pure Grey and Gold Essence hues.
Tata Curvv Pure+: Features and Safety
The dashboard design remains similar across all variants, but the colour scheme changes. Just like the base variant, the Pure+ variant gets a black and grey theme. This particular variant also gets a four-spoke steering wheel over the base-spec variant which gets a two-spoke steering wheel.
In terms of features, it gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple Carplay, 4 speakers, cruise control, electrically adjustable and auto-fold ORVMs, 4-inch multi-information display along with analogue dials, automatic climate control, paddle shifters, height adjustment for driver seat, tilt adjustment for the steering wheel, anti-glare IRVM, and all four power windows.
In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear parking camera with parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), ISOFIX child seat mounts and hill-hold assist. This variant also adds a tyre pressure warning system to the list.
The Pure+ misses out on many features, but you still get a fairly well-equipped cabin that takes care of most of your needs and requirements. In terms of safety features too, the Pure+ offers plenty. Folks who want a sunroof in their SUV, can opt for the Pure+ S variant.
Tata Curvv Pure+: Powertrain
The Curvv’s one-above-base variant is equipped with the Nexon-sourced 1.2-litre Revotron turbo-petrol engine which churns out 120 PS and 170 Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that makes 118 PS and 260 Nm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).
For the enthusiasts seeking more performance, there is a new 1.2-litre TGDi direct injection turbo-petrol engine which produces 125 PS and 225 Nm. But, this engine option is only available with higher-spec variants.
Rivals
The Tata Curvv Pure+ variant is priced from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). The newly launched Curvv rivals compact SUVs like the Citroen Basalt, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos and VW Taigun.
