Husqvarna has unveiled the 2025 Vitpilen 801, the roadster sibling of the recently launched Husqvarna Svartpilen 801. The bike features a beautiful design and styling which gives it a unique identity of its own. Here’s everything you need to know about this upcoming bike.
What sets the 2025 Vitpilen 801 apart from the Svartpilen 801 is its design and styling. While the Svartpilen 801 offers a design which looks scrambler-inspired, the Vitpilen aims to offer a roadster inspired design. The Vitpilen features a unique headlight section with a round LED DRL surrounding the projector headlight.
It looks quite good and gives the bike a distinct identity when compared to the Svartpilen 801, which gets a round headlight similar to the one we have seen on the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401s in India.
The handlebar on the Vitpilen 801 is a flat one, and is placed slightly lower. This will offer a more committed riding posture when compared to the Svartpilen 801’s scrambler-style braced handlebar. Lastly, the exhaust on the Vitpilen 801 is blacked out giving it a more sleek look. Talking about the colours, the Vitpilen 801 is offered in two shades, a metallic grey one and a fluorescent yellow. Both of them look quite good, but the fluorescent yellow really stands out.
Other than these stylistic changes, both the bikes are similar in terms of performance. It has a 799cc, liquid-cooled, twin cylinder motor which outputs 105PS and 87Nm; it’s the same engine from the KTM 790 Duke.
Talking about underpinnings, the Vitpilen 801 is built on a steel frame and is suspended on a WP-Apex 43mm fork and a WP-Apex monoshock. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends, with braking duties being handled by a dual 300mm discs at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
Features wise, the Vitpilen 801 gets a 5-inch TFT console. The console offers smartphone connectivity and related features such as turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets features such as cruise control, traction control and security features such as an engine immobiliser which offers anti-theft protection.
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 will go up against other 800cc motorcycles like the Triumph Street Triple 765. That said, the Vitpilen 801 is unlikely to be launched in India, but if you’re interested in getting a Husqvarna, you can always go for the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 or the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250.
