2025 KTM 390 Adventure S and Enduro R Showcased at India Bike Week (IBW)

KTM India has showcased the 390 Adventure lineup here at the 11th edition of the India Bike Week (IBW).  The India lineup will consist of three models: 390 Adventure S, 390 Adventure X and the 390 Enduro. While the X variant was not on display at IBW, here is what we know about the other two motorcycles so far: 

KTM 390 Adventure S

KTM has showcased the much awaited 390 Adventure S at IBW and boy-oh-boy doesn’t the bike look menacing. The KTM 390 Adventure S has a front fascia which resembles that of its elder sibling, the 1390 Adventure. It gets a rally inspired design with vertically stacked twin-projector LED headlight, and dakar-style bodywork. The motorcycle looks like it is adventure ready and the change in design over the current 390 Adventure makes it feel like a substantial upgrade.  The 2025 model is substantially larger than the outgoing one and will offer a better riding posture for both touring and offroading. 

The bike will be powered by the same engine as the 3rd gen KTM 390 Duke – a 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 46PS at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. We expect the brand to make a few changes for the 390 Adventure S such as the addition of a larger rear sprocket and probably the gearing, which would give it more bottom end torque. 

In terms of features, the bike gets a TFT screen, switchable traction control, cornering ABS, switchable rear ABS and cruise control. In terms of hardware, just like its naked sibling, the Adventure S gets a new chassis and subframe. It gets a fully adjustable inverted fork and a rear monoshock which is adjustable as well. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels with knobby tyres which will help the bike off-road where traction is less. The bike will eventually get tubeless spoke wheels as well but KTM has not revealed the dates of when they will arrive. 

KTM 390 Enduro R

KTM has also showcased the 390 Enduro R at the IBW. It is an enduro-style motorcycle which gets a large beak-like fender and a small headlight section. It gets a slim and sleek profile overall with a sharp tank design. Just like the 390 Adventure S, it gets the same engine as the 390 Duke. We expect the bike to get a few changes such as the addition of a larger rear sprocket to offer more bottom end torque. In terms of features, the KTM 390 Enduro R gets a slim LCD instrument cluster with a joy-stick to control it. The bike gets LED lighting all around. On the hardware front, it gets a fully adjustable fork and monoshock. Wheel sizes include a 21-inch front and a 17-inch rear spoke wheel with knobby tyres. 

Price and Launch Dates

We expect the KTM 390 Adventure S to be priced around Rs 3.8 lakh (ex-showroom) and the 390 Enduro R at Rs 3.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The bikes are expected to be launched sometime early next year and will go against the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the upcoming Hero Xpulse 400.
