Triumph has launched the 2025 Speed Twin 1200 and the Speed Twin 1200 RS in India. Both the bikes feature the same classic retro design and styling which we have come to associate with the British manufacturer. Here’s a detailed breakdown of everything you need to know about both the bikes.

Starting off with the prices:

2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200

The 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 features a retro design and styling which takes inspiration from British bikes of the past. It gets a simple round headlight, a tear drop shaped tank and a twin upswept exhaust system.

The bike is powered by a 1200cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine which produces 105PS at 7,750rpm and 112Nm at 4,250rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gear box and along with a slip and assist clutch.

Underpinnings wise, the bike features an upgraded chassis which is claimed to have improved the bike’s handling. It is suspended on a 43mm Marzocchi fork and a twin Marzocchi shock absorber setup, with external reservoirs and adjustable preload. The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends and braking duties are taken care of by a twin 320mm front and a single 220mm disc at the rear. The bike has electronic riding aids such as traction control and now a more optimized cornering ABS system as well.

2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS

The 2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS features a similar design and styling as the regular Speed Twin 1200 RS. But the 1200 RS is meant to be a more sportier bike, and it offers slightly more committed ergonomics compared to the Speed Twin 1200.

Customers also have the option to go for clip-on style handlebars as well, if they want to get the old school cafe racer feel. Other than these changes, the bike also gets a fully-adjustable Marzocchi fork and Öhlins rear suspension unit. Overall, the Speed Twin 1200 RS is meant for those who want something a bit more sportier when compared to the Speed Twin 1200.

ZigSays

We are quite glad that Triumph India has decided to bring these big bikes here. Currently, retro bike enthusiasts who have been looking for something which offers good performance were let down by the lack of options. Now with the launch of these two models, they have something to look forward to. We are quite excited and can’t wait to get to ride both soon.
