Both the Aura and Grand i10 Nios get exterior styling changes, giving them unique identities.

Get bolstered safety suite with up to six airbags, electronic stability control, and tyre pressure monitoring.
Pre-launch bookings for both models have commenced.
Hyundai is gearing up for the launch of two facelifted models tomorrow: Aura and Grand i10 Nios. Ahead of their respective launches, the carmaker has already unveiled the cars in full, which get a few design changes and rejig in their features list. Pre-launch bookings for both are underway, and this will be the first major update for both models, so let’s take a look at what’s new:
While both the facelifts aren’t revolutionary, they bring a breath of freshness to both the car’s styling. The Aura’s changes are concentrated towards the front with a split grille setup, which gives it a stern-looking face. The lower side of the grille is flanked by fang-like LED DRLs, while the profile and rear of the car is untouched.
In comparison, the Grand i10 Nios’ changes look comprehensive. Body-coloured panels housing the revised DRLs flank the blacked-out grille. You get new sporty-looking alloy wheels at the side, while the rear gets a thorough redesign with connected LED taillights, redesigned bumper and tailgate.
Both get new colour options for the interior and a redesigned instrument cluster with analogue dials and a multi-info display. The upholstery for the seats is new and you also get footwell lighting, but that’s pretty much it for the changes on the inside as the dashboard layout and everything else is kept the same.
The facelift brings major updates to the safety suite of both the models. They now get up to six airbags (four as standard), electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold assist and automatic headlights. Their existing list of features, which includes an eight-inch infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, keyless entry, push-button start, leather wrapped steering wheel, and parking camera, has been carried over as it is.
Both the Hyundais carryforward the 83PS naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission or an AMT. Their CNG powertrains are paired to a manual transmission only and produce 69PS. The status of bringing the 1-litre turbo-petrol mill is still in the dark.

We expect both the Aura and Grand i10 Nios to get a bump in their current prices, which range from Rs 6.19 lakh and Rs 8.96 lakh and Rs 5.53 lakh and Rs 8.55 lakh (all prices ex-showroom), respectively. The Aura will rival the likes of the Maruti Dzire, Tata Tigor and Honda Amaze, while the Grand i10 Nios will take the fight to the Maruti Swift, Tata Punch and Renault Triber.
