It should draw power from the 68PS 1-litre petrol engine, similar to the current Celerio, but there could even be a more powerful 90PS 1.2-litre petrol engine on offer. On November 12, Porsche’s first electric car, the Taycan sports sedan, will finally come to India. It’ll be the fastest EV in our market, and a sight to behold on our roads. The standard 4S variant has 571PS on tap, and the top-spec Turbo S makes 751PS! Find out all about it in our news story

Facelifted Porsche Macan

Expected ex-showroom price: Rs 70 lakh

Porsche has rejigged its lineup, so the top-spec Macan is now the GTS variant with adaptive air suspension and a 440PS 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6! It also gets the Porsche 911’s steering wheel and a reworked interior and exterior. It will rival the Jaguar F-Pace SUV and the Mercedes-AMG GLC coupe in India when it goes on sale on November 12.

Mercedes-AMG A45 S

Expected ex-showroom price: Rs 75 lakh

Set to arrive on November 17, the AMG A45 S has the world’s most powerful turbo four-cylinder under its bonnet. The petrol engine makes 422PS of power and 500Nm of torque, making this hot hatch quicker than many sports sedans. It has a claimed 0-100kmph time of just 3.9 seconds! But since it’ll be imported as a completely built car, it’s likely to be exorbitantly priced in India. Read the full story here.
