This week's key highlights include the introduction of ‘Red Dark’ editions of Tata SUVs plus 2023 updates for its flagship offerings, as well as new information on Honda and Hyundai's future sedans. We also got an exclusive update on BMW's forthcoming product launches in India, with an international news on how Bentley is planning to say goodbye to its iconic engine.
Let’s have a look at all the important highlights of the week:
Tata’s ‘Dark’ range of SUVs – Harrier, Safari and Nexon – have been given a makeover of red elements inside and out, with the name ‘Red Dark’ edition. The Harrier and Safari are also updated with new features which are trickled down to their regular variants, and their prices are out too. Meanwhile, the feature list on Nexon remains unchanged.
Now you can reserve the facelifted Honda City offline at dealerships, ahead of its debut on March 2. Also, some dealer sources suggest that the updated sedan is likely to be introduced in two new entry-level trims for the petrol and hybrid models, likely bringing the price down.
We got our first glance at the new-generation Verna's design through sketches shared by Hyundai ahead of its introduction. These sketches also hint at the new Verna's significantly larger dimensions than the outgoing model. The next-generation sedan is set to arrive on March 21, 2023.
Citroen will disclose the prices of its all-electric hatchback, the eC3, soon. The EV has now reached dealerships, and customers can now take the test drives as well. On a single charge, the eC3 offers a range of 320km, and can go from nought to 60kmph in 6.8 seconds.
Nissan has enhanced the standard safety kit on its subcompact SUV, the Magnite, though it is still offered with only dual-front airbags throughout its range. Also, with the update, customers will have to shell out more on the corresponding trims of the SUV. More details may be found here.
A partially covered test mule of the Hyundai Creta with a developmental battery pack was spotted recently. The spotted model could be a testing bed for the upcoming mass-market EV.
The spy shots this week include two new SUVs from Tata and Honda. One is the facelifted Safari which was spied on for the first time with some design cues that are taken from the Harrier EV. On the other hand, Honda has begun testing its compact SUV, which will rival the likes of the Maruti Grand Vitara and Hyundai Creta
With five vehicles already introduced in 2023, BMW is not stopping here, as the company will also bring three new models down the timeline. These include two new facelifts – the Z4 and X5 – as well as the new M2. Visit this link to discover more about the models this exclusive article features.
Bentley's iconic and creamy smooth W12 engine will be phased out in April 2024. While this powerful engine will be replaced with smaller and electrified engines, Bentley intends to bid farewell to its massive W12 by extracting the most power from it. Additional information may be found here.
