The Bharat Mobility Expo is just around the corner, and a variety of adventure bikes are expected to be showcased. Motorcycle enthusiasts are in for a treat as brands like BMW, Yamaha, Hero MotoCorp, and TVS gear up to reveal their latest adventure-ready machines. Here’s a closer look at some of them:
The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is going to be showcased at the Expo, and it is the successor to the very popular R 1250 GSA. The BMW R 1300 GSA features a 1,300cc, boxer-twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces 145.48PS at 7,750rpm and 149Nm at 6,500rpm. It also gets a massive 30-litre fuel tank as compared to the 19-litre one on the standard R 1300 GS. With features like dynamic traction control and adaptive suspension, expect top-tier comfort, impressive off-road abilities, and long-distance touring capability from this flagship bike.
Yamaha Tenere 700 has been making waves in the adventure motorcycle scene, and it is set to make an appearance at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Known for its reliability and off-road capabilities, the Tenere 700 features a 689cc parallel-twin engine that delivers 73PS and 68Nm. With its long-travel suspension, a ground clearance of 240mm, and switchable ABS, the Tenere 700 is built for serious adventure and off-road riders.
Another highly anticipated model is the Hero XPulse 421, though it will make its debut only as a concept. While details are still scarce, Hero showcased the concept bike at EICMA last year and has since patented the design. The XPulse 421 promises to be a serious contender in the adventure bike segment, featuring a design inspired by the Hero MotoSport Rally team’s involvement. It will be powered by a 421cc single-cylinder engine, expected to produce around 40-45PS.
Also first unveiled at EICMA, the XPulse 210 retains the overall design from the XPulse 200 4V, but features a new engine: the liquid-cooled, 210cc unit from the Karizma XMR 210. This engine delivers 24.8PS and 20.4Nm, and is paired to a six-speed gearbox. This should enhance the bikes’ highway capabilities.
TVS will be finally entering the adventure motorcycle market sometime very soon. After unveiling their new liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 300cc engine at TVS MotoSoul, the company has been testing its first adventure bike. This model, likely to be named the Apache RTX 300, gets typical ADV styling, with a tall windshield and an upright riding posture. Spy shots reveal that the TVS adventure bike will have, and a TFT instrument console.
The adventure bike segment is heating up across the entire globe, in varying sizes and all engine capacities. Things like launches, unveils, reveals, and announcements are happening more frequently, with even test mules being spotted more often, almost every other week.
