The all-electric BMW i4, which debuted in March this year, will be launched in India in 2022. It will be the third electric offering from BMW India after the soon-to-be-launched iX and the Cooper SE hatchback.
The i4 is essentially the 4 Series Gran Coupe’s electric version. Internationally, this Tesla Model 3 rival is offered in two variants: eDrive 40 (RWD) and M50 (AWD).
Here are the detailed specifications:

The i4 looks similar to the 4 Series, only with EV-specific design elements. The absurdly large grille is closed off, and the aero-friendly alloy wheels and door handles are integrated into the recess, thereby ensuring improved aerodynamics. And of course, the blue highlights are aplenty, suggesting it’s an EV.
Inside, the sedan gets a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display and a 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system running on BMW’s latest i-Drive 8 UI. And like the exterior, you see splashes of blue in the cabin too. The rest of the interior is similar to the 4 Series.
