Aprilia India had an eventful 2024, the manufacturer launched not one but 4 big bikes. It includes everything from their 660 lineup to the top-of-the-line Aprilia RS4V factory. Here’s a brief overview of the bikes and what they have to offer.
The Aprilia RSV4 Factory is one of the most powerful bikes in the Italian manufacturer’s lineup. It features a sharp and aggressive supersport design, with the iconic Aprilia race-inspired liveries.
It is powered by a 1099cc liquid-cooled V4 engine which outputs 217PS at 13,000rpm and 125Nm at 10,500rpm. It is built on a dual-beam aluminum frame. It is suspended on a fully adjustable 43mm Öhlins NIX fork and a fully-adjustible Öhlins TTX monoshock.
The bike gets a braking setup that consists of a dual 320mm disc setup, with Brembo Stylema callipers at the front. At the rear it has a single 220mm disc. The Aprilia RSV4 Factory goes up against the Ducati Panigale V4. It is currently sold in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 31,26,000.
The Aprilia RS 660 is the brand’s supersport offering in the 660cc segment. It features a similar aggressive design and styling as the higher capacity Aprilia RSV4 Factory. In terms of graphics, it gets similar Aprilia liveries on the tank and fairing as the RS4V.
The Aprilia Tuono 660 on the other hand is the brand’s streetfighter offering in the same segment. It gets similar graphics and styling, but features a half fairing and changes to the ergonomics. The bike features a wider handlebar, which will give the rider a more upright posture.
Both bikes are powered by the same 659cc parallel-twin engine. On the RS 660 it outputs 100PS and 67Nm. Whereas on the Tuono, the engine outputs 95PS and 67Nm.
The Aprilia RS 660 is priced at Rs 17,74,000 and the Tuono 660 comes at 17,44,000. All prices are ex-showroom.
The Aprilia Tuareg 660 is the Italian manufacturer’s ADV offering in the 660 lineup. It comes with a proper adventure bike look and styling, with stylish graphics. It is powered by the same 659cc parallel twin engine, but outputs 80PS and 70Nm. This is a drop of 20PS and an increase of 3Nm.
The bike features a long travel suspension setup. It gets a fully-adjustible Kayaba inverted fork with 240mm wheel travel and a Kayaba monoshock with 240mm wheel travel. It has a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheel setup. Braking duties are handled by a dual 300mm disc setup at the front and a single 260mm disc at the rear.
The Tuareg 660 is priced at Rs 18,85,000 (ex-showroom). It goes up against other ADV bikes in the segment like the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Triumph Tiger 660.
