It's Happening! Auto Expo 2023 Dates Confirmed

It's happening after all! Auto Expo, India's largest motor show, is coming back next year, scheduled from January 13 - 18, 2023. The media days for the coveted event, where we bring you all the happenings live from the floor, are January 11 and 12. As usual, the motor show will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. 

The Auto Expo was slated to happen in February this year but was later axed due to the worsening coronavirus situation. It's odd to see the Expo scheduled in an odd year (2023), considering the bi-annual motor show is usually held in even years (2020, for example). But we're not complaining, and fingers crossed on the wretched virus not playing spoilsport again.  

The last edition of the Auto Expo saw more than six lakh visitors attend the event from all parts of the country. Hopefully, it generates the same amount of interest this year, too, considering motor shows across the world are a dying breed, really.

Highlights from last year include the debut of Great Wall Motors (Haval), a heavy focus on electric mobility, the debut of the Kia Sonet, Hyundai Creta, and Tata HBX (now the Punch), and the revival of the iconic Sierra. Hopefully, we will see plenty of exciting models and surprises from carmakers in the next edition.
