Despite the global semiconductor crisis and the ongoing pandemic, there was no stopping Automobili Lamborghini in 2021, as sales shot through the roof. The supercar-maker sold 8,405 units worldwide, a YoY increase of 13 percent from 2020.
Unsurprisingly, the ever-so-popular Urus led the pack, followed by the Huracan and Aventador.

That it was sought-after in 2021 can only mean one thing: Lamborghini’s order registers are almost full in 2022. So, you might need to wait till 2023 to get your hands on one.
It’s not only globally where Lambo put up a commendable performance. In India, we have over 300 raging bulls on the prowl on our roads, with the Urus being the most popular.
Last year, Lamborghini gave us some incredible cars, including the maniacal Huracan STO. The iconic Countach was also revived to celebrate its 50th anniversary. There was also the Aventador finale, a swansong to the V12-powered supercar, and the Huracan Super Trofeo EVO and GT3 EVO racing cars.

Going forward, Lamborghini plans to introduce four new models in the next 12 months. The camaker will be electrifying its lineup by 2024 to comply with stricter emission norms, and the first hybrid model will debut in 2023. Also, a fully electric model is set to be launched in the latter half of the decade. But fret not, the V12 will live on for some time now.
