Bajaj Auto has launched the Bajaj Chetak 3201 Special Edition at Rs 1,28,744 (ex-showroom Bengaluru including EMPS 2024, which stands for Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024). The Special Edition is made exclusively for sale on Amazon and only for the month of August 2024.
The Bajaj Chetak 3201 Special Edition gets a shiny Brooklyn Black paint job along with big ‘Chetak’ decals on the side panels. The rest of the scooter gets a blacked-out treatment and the special edition scooter also gets a quilted seat. The electric scooter has a claimed range of 136km and a top speed of 73kmph while the battery takes 5 hours and 30 minutes to fully charge from 0-100%. It comes equipped with an Eco riding mode and with the TecPac, an additional Sports riding mode is available. It gets a TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.
Apart from the special edition, the Bajaj Chetak lineup consists of the 2901, Urbane and the Premium and they are priced at Rs 95,998, Rs 1,23,319 and Rs 1,47,243 (all prices ex-showroom Bengaluru including EMPS 2024, which stands for Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024) respectively. The 2901 is the entry-level scooter in the lineup with a 2.88kWh capacity battery pack and a claimed ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) range of 123km. The Urbane is the mid-level Chetak electric scooter with a 2.9kWh capacity battery pack and a claimed ARAI range of 113km while the Premium top-end model with a 3.2kWh capacity battery pack and a claimed ARAI range of 126km. The Chetak rivals the likes of the Ampere Nexus, Ola S1 Air, Ather Rizta, Ather 450S and TVS iQube Electric.
