The white colour variant of the bike has been updated with blacked out wheels

Bajaj has updated its naked 160cc bike, the Pulsar NS160, with a Metallic Pearl White variant that also gets blacked-out alloy wheels. This change comes in just a few days after the flagship Pulsars, the F250 and N250, received the blue makeover.

Additionally, the NS160 now comes with blacked-out alloy wheels (instead of the white ones) on the dual tone black and white paint scheme, most likely a result of market feedback. The bike now looks much sportier, as the previous all-white alloys looked a little gaudy in our opinion. Until now, the black alloy wheels were only available in the grey paint scheme.

While the new colour offers the bike a slightly refreshed look we feel Bajaj could’ve gone one step further and updated the bike with modern LED lighting and a semi-digital smartphone-compatible instrument cluster. These crucial changes would’ve made it a much more well-rounded offering than before.

Apart from the refreshed colours, there have been no mechanical changes on the bike, and it continues to be powered by the same 160cc single-cylinder, air-/oil-cooled engine churning out 17.2PS and 14.6Nm mated to a five-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear, while the bike drops anchor courtesy discs on both ends with single-channel ABS.

The updated NS160 has already started coming at the dealerships, however, the deliveries will be starting in the coming days. The bike continues to be priced at Rs 1,19,418 (ex-showroom Delhi). In the naked 160cc segment, the NS160 goes up against the Suzuki Gixxer (Rs 1.31 lakh), the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V (Rs 1.17 lakh), the Hero Xtreme 160R (1.11 lakh).
