Maserati and Barbie. Now those are two words we never thought would be used in the same sentence, but here we go. As part of a collaboration, Barbie has teamed up with Maserati and Neiman Marcus to create an ultra-limited edition Barbie Maserati Grecale, of which only two units will be made.
This is unlike your routine collaboration in which the teamed-up brands keep all the profits for themselves. Instead, ten percent of the price tag of this bespoke edition will proceed to the ‘Barbie Dream Gap Project’ that has ties with charities supporting and uplifting girls by providing them with equal opportunities.
The first unit showcased was one of Neiman Marcus’ Fantasy Gifts, while details on the second bespoke unit will be revealed in 2023. For the ones scratching their heads, Neiman Marcus is a luxury designer who deals in a wide array of fashion items ranging from handbags to clothing.
There are no changes to any body panels or inserts, however, there is that hard-to-miss bright pink shade that drapes the body from head to toe, contrasted by subtle yellow inserts.

You also get a black finish for the ‘B’ emblem on the C-pillar along with the ‘Barbie’ and ‘Niemen Marcus’ wordmarks on the front fender, denoting the collaboration between the brands. Maserati says that the exterior paint finish transmits a rainbow-like effect when exposed to clear sunlight.
The cabin follows a black theme with pink inserts and stitching all around. The leather headrests sport a ‘B’ stitch also finished in pink. The equipment list on offer remains similar to the standard model.
The special edition is based on the top-of-the-line Trofeo version of the SUV. No mechanical revisions imply it gets its puissance via the same V6 petrol unit as the standard model, producing 530PS. The first unit is exclusive to the US market, and we will wait until 2023 for details on the second one.
