The pricing is quite insane!

BMW has launched two of their big capacity bikes, including the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure and the BMW S 1000 RR. We are quite excited to see these bikes come to India. Here’s a brief overview of what each has to offer.

BMW R 1300 GS Adventure

The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is the top of the line ADV offering from the German-manufacturer. It features a boxy design and styling, which makes it look very different when compared to the BMW R 1300 GS. It is priced at Rs 22,95,000 (ex-showroom).

The bike is powered by a 1300cc, liquid-cooled boxer engine which outputs 145PS and 149Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox, with a slip-and-assist clutch.

The bike is suspended on a telelever suspension setup at the front and a paralever suspension setup at the rear. As compared to a conventional front suspension, the telelever is quite complex and expensive. However, one of its advantages is reduced fork dive under hard braking.

In terms of features, it has a traction control system and cruise control as well. This enhances overall safety and also helps in improving the bike’s touring potential. Riders can also get a few optional bits including adaptable ride height, which makes it easier for shorter riders to handle the bike.

2025 BMW S 1000 RR

The 2025 BMW S 1000 RR a litre-class supersport motorcycle from the German manufacturer. It features a sharp and aggressive design, with a really well-integrated fairing-mounted winglet setup. This really does accentuate the supersport styling.

It comes at a price of Rs 21,10,000 (ex-showroom). The bike is powered by a 999cc, inline-four engine which outputs 208PS and 112.5Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of features, the bike has a ton of electronic riding aids on offer, including a traction control system, cornering ABS, cruise control, launch control and wheelie control.

Overall, we are quite glad BMW has finally decided to bring both these bikes to India. The BMW R 1300 GS and the S 1000 RR makes for really good additions to the superbike segment. We are eagerly waiting for a chance to ride both of them!
