Quick News Highlights:
- The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX has been launched in India
- It replaces the Ninja 1000SX in Kawasaki’s lineup
- It is powered by an all-new 1,099cc, in-line four-cylinder engine
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 13,49,000 (ex-showroom) It is available in a single colour option called Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray/Metallic Diablo Black. Deliveries of the bike will start from the end of December 2024.
It looks identical to the Ninja 1000SX, with its sharp design lines and the dual LED headlight setup. The biggest change is the 1,099cc, in-line four-cylinder engine, compared to the 1,043cc motor in the 1000SX. The new motor produces 136PS at 9,000rpm and 113Nm at 7,600rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and a quickshifter. Kawasaki says that the 5th and 6th gears are longer in this bike and that the quickshifter now works from as low as 1,500rpm.
The sports tourer has a 41mm inverted fork with compression, rebound and preload adjustability, and a monoshock with rebound and preload adjustability. Stopping power for the bike comes from dual 300mm disc brakes with dual radially mounted, monobloc, 4-piston calipers and a single 260mm disc brake at the rear. The bike rolls on 120-section front and 190-section rear tyres with 17-inch wheels at both ends. It has a wheelbase of 1,440mm, ground clearance of 135mm, seat height of 820mm and a fuel tank capacity of 19 litres.
In the features department, the Ninja 1100SX has a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console with two layouts. The first is more simplistic with a clean layout for touring purposes while the other is filled with information like G-Force, lean angles and other riding data for sporty riding. It has voice command and navigation through Kawasaki’s mobile application. The bike has three riding modes: Sport, Road and Rain along with a customisable Rider mode as well. Other features include traction control (including cornering traction control as well), cruise control, an adjustable windshield and a handlebar-mounted USB-C outlet.
The Ninja 1100SX is about Rs 1.3 lakh more expensive than the 1000SX. But the bump in price tag has also brought with it a bigger capacity engine, a new quickshifter and a whole host of electronic upgrades. Also, despite the price, the Ninja 1100SX is still the most affordable litre-class in-line four bike in India, with the Suzuki Katana cutting it close at Rs 13,61,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
