BMW Motorrad is all set to launch its entry-level supersport, the G 310 RR, tomorrow (July 15, 2022). However, a video of the bike has been leaked on the internet revealing its complete design just before the launch. Here are all the details:
From what can be understood from the video, the G 310 RR is a rebadged TVS Apache RR 310 with the same edgy body design. The aggressive twin LED headlights have also been borrowed from the Apache, along with the sporty windscreen.
The sharp styling elements are complemented by BMW’s signature ‘M’ livery comprising white, blue, black and red colours and the motorcycle gets a prominent BMW logo on either side of the fairing.
The aggressive fuel tank, again carried as is from the TVS Apache RR 310, of the model in the video was painted in a plain white colour with blue and red stickering above the fuel filler cap. Even the other bits like the split seat, exhaust and the exhaust cover are the same parts seen on the flagship Apache, as are the curvy alloy wheels.
The fairing has the word ‘Race’ written on it which suggests the G 310 RR is likely to be either available in two variants or it could get the ‘M-sport’ package. The bike in this video misses out on adjustable suspension, but in the earlier teaser, it was present. For more details on the variants, head to the story here.
With just a day to go before the launch takes place, the anticipation is real. We expect BMW to price the supersport at around the Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
It will go up against the likes of the 2022 KTM RC 390 and Ninja 300, and will be more affordable than its rivals, despite commanding a premium of Rs 20,000 over the TVS Apache RR 310, if our expected pricing turns out to be correct.
