After teasing its launch on social media, Keeway has launched the V302C cruiser (full name Keeway Benda V302C) in India and its prices start from Rs 3,89,000 (ex-showroom India).
When Keeway entered the Indian market in May this year, the company had revealed that it was planning to launch five bikes by September, and two of them will be cruisers: one being the Keeway K-Light 250V and the other one, the Benda V302C. This is essentially the Benda BD300 (aka Benda Jinjila, if the translation is correct) sold in the Chinese and some European markets.
It comes with a unique, curvy yet muscular styling with fat tyres, chopped fenders, tear-drop shaped fuel tank, wide handlebars, simple side panels, low, contoured seat, and more importantly, a liquid-cooled V-twin engine. The bike’s 298cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled mill churns out 29.9PS and 26.5Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a belt final drive.
The bike is suspended on an inverted fork along with dual shocks. You have a 16-inch and a 120-section tyre at the front and a 15-inch, 150-section one at the rear. Other underpinnings include 300mm and 240mm disc brakes at the front and rear respectively along with dual channel ABS. Boosting its practicality is a chunky 15-litre fuel tank, 690mm seat height and a low 167kg kerb weight.
While the Keeway Benda V302C is a well-designed, well-equipped cruiser with a nice-looking spec sheet, its prices start at a rather high, Rs 3,89,000 (ex-showroom India). The company had previously already priced the K-Light 250V at an absurd Rs 2,99,000 (ex-showroom) for the base model.

If you want the more premium Glossy Black or Glossy Red colour schemes, it’ll cost you Rs 3,99,000 and Rs 4,09,000 respectively (ex-showroom).
It’s hence a more premium alternative to the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and the Yezdi Roadster, while slotting below the more premium, bigger-engined Kawasaki Vulcan S and the upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 & Shotgun 650.
