The scrambler is available in two variants: Trail and Force. Colour options for the Trail variant include Trail Blue and Trail Green and the Force variant is available in three colour options, namely Force Blue, Force Grey, and Force Teal. In terms of styling, the bike looks exactly the same as the Scram 411 with the muscular design language.
Powering the Scram 440 is a 443cc single-cylinder air & oil-cooled engine producing 25.4PS at 6,250rpm and 34Nm at 4,000rpm. It is basically a bored-out version of the 411cc engine found in the Scram 411. The new scrambler has a 6-speed gearbox instead of the 5-speed unit in the Scram 411.
The Scram 440 has a 41mm telescopic fork with 190mm of wheel travel and a monoshock with 180mm of wheel travel. The braking setup consists of a 300mm disc front disc and a 240mm rear disc. It has a seat height of 795mm, ground clearance of 200mm, fuel tank capacity of 15 litres and a kerb weight of 187kg. It has a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup.
In terms of features, the new bike from Royal Enfield now has an LED headlight and the round semi-digital instrument console from the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The new Scram 440 is expected to be priced around the Rs 2.30 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. The bike will be launched in January 2025. It will rival the likes of the Hero Xpulse 210, Triumph Scrambler 400X and the Yezdi Scrambler.
