Tork Motors, a Pune-based electric bikemaker, is gearing up to launch its first offering, the Kratos, in the last week of January 2022.
Earlier codenamed the T6X, the electric bike has been revamped completely, with changes to the frame, ergonomics, features, and even the battery pack. The styling is in keeping with what recent spy shots of the bike have given us.
The Kratos will come with Tork’s home-built operating system, called TIROS. This is claimed to improve and analyse power management and range to better the riding experience while also allowing fast charging.
Additionally, the electric bike will be powered by the company’s in-house battery and axial flux motor, making it a truly homegrown product.
Bookings will commence soon after the virtual launch. The Tork Kratos is expected to retail at around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and serve as a premium alternative to the Revolt RV400 in the EV space. Meanwhile, price-wise, it’ll also go against 150-160cc ICE motorcycles.
