Royal Enfield has launched Reown, a pre-owned motorcycle initiative operated by the brand themselves. Under this, existing Royal Enfield customers as well customers of other manufacturers can sell their motorcycles or buy pre-owned Royal Enfield motorcycles. We got to know about this a few months ago when Royal Enfield secured the trademark for the name ‘Reown’.
Customers of Royal Enfield or any other manufacturer can also exchange their motorcycle to upgrade to a different motorcycle from Royal Enfield. This will further help the manufacturer in converting customers of other manufacturers into Royal Enfield owners. The Reown service can be availed by visiting their stores in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai or through their official website as well.
Those who are looking to sell their Royal Enfield motorcycles can book an inspection for their motorcycle via an online form. Royal Enfield says that the pre-owned motorcycles under Reown will undergo over 200 technical and mechanical checks and will be revamped with genuine parts at official service centres. They will also come with a brand warranty and two free services. Customers who will sell their motorcycles through Reown will get Rs 5,000 worth loyalty benefits of genuine Royal Enfield accessories during their next purchase of a motorcycle from the manufacturer.
Royal Enfield dealerships will facilitate the name transfer for the preowned purchases. However, customers will need to pay in case they are buying with finance facilities. The prices of the motorcycle are fixed and Royal Enfield says they will be the best rates compared to market standards. They calculate the prices based on current market price, demand and supply of the motorcycle, service record, refurbishment work done and other relevant data. Also customers get a comprehensive warranty package and a 7-day free return option.
Royal Enfield has also partnered with HDFC & IDFC for finance options, Adroit Auto for doorstep evaluation of the motorcycles, finance company Shriram group to help with the upgrades from other motorcycle brands; and used bike website OLX for the discovery and increased accessibility of certified used Royal Enfield bikes.
