Bugatti, the maker of record-breaking hypercars with iconic gas-guzzling but astonishingly powerful W16 engines has gone electric! Teaming up with US-based information technology and services company Bytech Inc, Bugatti has unveiled its first EV… in the form of an electric kick scooter!
Bytech and Bugatti have made sure the electric kick scooter is every bit a Bugatti. It features an exotic magnesium frame, a beefy 700W electric motor propelling it to a top speed of 14.4kmph in Economy mode, 20kmph in City mode and 30kmph in Sport mode, which is still pretty fast for a puny e-scooter. And yes, this 15.8kg e-scooter gets three riding modes, which is a little overkill but it’s a Bugatti at the end of the day. The electric motor is powerful enough to carry up to 110kg, and the 10Ah/360Wh battery pack can cover up to 35km. It takes about four hours to charge using a standard outlet.
Oh, and topping it all off is the neat all-LED lighting on the front, sides and rear, along with a puddle light at the back projecting the iconic “B” logo on the ground. Overall, the Bugatti e-scooter ticks all the right boxes for a luxury urban mobility solution. Interestingly, Bytech also offers an electric kick scooter developed in conjunction with Fiat. This one costs USD 499 (around Rs 37,200) and is only half as fast as the Bugatti one. Expect the Bugatti e-scooter to be priced at around USD 800 (around Rs 60,000).
