Chinese brand CFMoto has been in the market for 35 years in its home market and has improved its products over time by horse strides. The bikemaker has now teased its all-new neo-retro sports bike, the 500SR Voom for the first time and it looks action-packed!
At first glance, CFMoto’s new inline-4 engine is wrapped in a modern classic sports bike design. Looking at the front, the 500SR Voom is fitted with hollow round LED DRLs that double up as air intakes for the engine. The round LED headlights give a throwback to the designs from the 1980s and 90s. It has a transparent flyscreen topped off with bar-end mirrors and the muscular fairing mounted onto a perimeter frame is like the icing on the cake.
The 500SR Voom is feature-rich; From what we see the motorcycle gets a TFT dash equipped with a power and torque graph, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), runtime clock, gear indicator, a classic tachometer layout… we will have to wait for all the details! These features on the dash can be accessed by premium-looking switchgear. It appears to be armed with an adjustable inverted fork with twin disc brakes and a steering damper.
Its aggressive front is complemented by a minimalist rear with an aluminium swingarm to keep the weight in check. It gets dual LED tail lights, and twin exhausts (in keeping with the retro design language) to hear the engine’s throaty roar.
The CFMOTO 500SR Voom will likely be launched in China, its domestic market, and will be an absolute head-turner once it hits the road there! And though it will likely never come to India, do you think it would have stood a chance against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R if it did? Tell us in the comments.
