MG recently launched the Hector Snowstorm edition, starting from Rs 21.53 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a dual-tone paint and a couple of red inserts which uplift the exterior and the interior too gets changes which include an all-black theme for the cabin. The Snowstorm Edition is available with the Hector Plus as well in both 6-and 7-seater configurations.
In this report, we take you through 10 real-world images of the Hector’s Snowstorm Edition, explaining its exterior and interior design, powertrain options and features on offer.
Let’s begin:
The Hector Snowstorm has been given a dual-tone white and black colour (roof), along with red accents which add a hint of sportiness to the SUV. Some exterior elements have been blacked-out which add a bit of stealth to the Hector. The rest of the design and silhouette remains the same.
Up front, it sports a massive grille with dark chrome inserts. The bumper and headlights too get a dark treatment which further adds to the charm of the special edition.
Complimenting the black roof and roof rails are the pillars that are finished in black as well. The 18-inch alloy wheels have been blacked-out and you get red brake callipers which stand out among the multiple blacked-out elements. Furthermore, you also get “Snowstorm” badging on the front fender and black body cladding which completes the side look.

The rear features the same design for the LED tail lights, but they now get a smoked effect (black). The chrome strip under the connected tail lights are too finished in black and the lower bumper also gets a black chrome treatment.
The Hector Snowstorm edition gets the same dashboard design and layout. However, the black and beige cabin theme of the standard Hector is replaced by an all-black colour scheme. Right from the dashboard to the door trims, everything is finished in black. The centre console gets gunmetal grey inserts which compliment the dark theme of the special edition.
The leatherette seats are black in colour, but come with white stitching for contrast. Snowstorm has been embossed on the headrest of the seats to denote the special edition’s exclusivity.
Since it is not based on the top-spec Savvy Pro variant, it misses out on ADAS features, but still offers all the premium amenities and safety features. Features on board the Hector Snowstorm include a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, powered and ventilated front seats, a 9-speaker Infinity sound system and a panoramic sunroof.
The safety kit includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and front and rear parking sensors.
The MG Hector Snowstorm comes with both engine options that are offered with the Hector. You get a 170 PS 2-litre diesel and 143 PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine options. The diesel engine can be had only with the manual, while the petrol comes with the CVT option only.
The Hector Snowstorm is based on the Sharp Pro variant, and its price ranges from Rs 21.53 lakh to Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom). To check out its detailed pricing, head over to our story. The Hector rivals the Tata Harrier / Safari, Hyundai Creta / Alcazar, and Mahindra Scorpio N / XUV700.
