The CNG kit for the Glanza is offered in the mid-spec S and G trims, which are priced at Rs 8.43 lakh and Rs 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. That’s a Rs 95,000 jump over the concurrent petrol variants. The top-spec CNG trim of the Glanza is pricier than Baleno’s top-spec CNG trim by Rs 25,000, while their base trims have a difference of Rs 15,000.
The CNG kit in the Glanza is fitted to a 1.2-litre petrol engine which sends power to the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. In CNG mode, the setup produces 77.5 PS, which is a drop of 12.5PS compared to the standard Glanza. There is no automatic available for the CNG variants. The lesser power on tap is traded for better fuel efficiency which is rated at 30.61 km/kg.
The Glanza is a premium hatchback from Toyota and the CNG kit being offered in the middle trims of the hatchback means that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort and convenience for a bit more efficiency.

The CNG-powered Glanza is packed with equipment like a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto headlights, power-folding ORVMs, auto AC, connected car technology and rear AC vents.
Its safety kit includes up to six airbags, rear-view camera and ABS with EBD. The CNG variants of the Glanza miss out on ESP with hill-hold assist as that’s a feature offered with the AMT gearbox only.
The Glanza CNG is only the second premium hatchback to get a factory-fitted CNG kit after the Baleno. Bookings for Toyota’s CNG hatchback are underway throughout the carmaker’s dealer network in India. The Glanza goes head-to-head with other premium hatchbacks like the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and of course the Maruti Baleno.
