Cool Concept Cars You Should Look At The Auto Expo 2025!

The Auto Expo is undoubtedly the hottest and largest of auto shows in India, and this time around, it's happening between January 17 and 22 in New Delhi. The expo features some of the most exciting upcoming cars as well as some existing cars that automakers display for public viewing. Every year, there are also plenty of cool concept cars that are showcased, giving us a glimpse of futuristic designs and ideas. 

In this article, we take you through the 6 concept cars that will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2025! 

Lexus LF-ZC Concept

The Lexus LF-ZC was first showcased at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. It is based on a new structure and boasts a futuristic and stylish design with plenty of aggressively styled elements. The concept version of the sedan will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, and will surely be one of the most unique and appealing cars at the event! 

The LF-ZC moniker is taken from Lexus Future Zero-emission Catalyst. One can expect to see the production-ready version towards the end of 2026 in global markets. It will be offered with high-performance prismatic battery technology that delivers twice the range of conventional electric vehicles. Being a Lexus, it will come with a premium interior with plenty of luxe features! 

Lexus ROV Concept

Yes, we have another Lexus on the list! The Japanese luxury car manufacturer is known for its premium and comfort-oriented cars but will be showcasing its Recreational Off-highway vehicle (ROV) at the Auto Expo 2025. It sports a compact rugged look with a funky design and has an ATV vibe to it. The fancy offroader is powered by a 1-litre hydrogen engine that is claimed to offer nearly zero tailpipe emissions. 

The ROV concept gets a signature Lexus front end with sleek headlights and a dark bronze colour. The rear features sleek tail lights and the “Lexus” lettering in the centre. What grabbed attention at first, were the chunky off-road tyres! It also features a protective cage further complementing the rugged attributes. 

Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA Class

Popular luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz will display the Concept CLA Class at the Auto Expo 2025. It is a four-door electric coupe based on a new platform, and the upcoming platform will also underpin future Mercedes EVs including two SUVs. Its design is modern and sharp with an aggressive fascia. It gets a connected LED light and a three-pointed design in the headlights. It gets a sleek silhouette and the roofline merges neatly into the rear. The rear end might remind you of the ICE-powered CLA, but the headlight design is completely new and futuristic. 

The interior is all about massive screens that take up most of the real estate. It takes inspiration from the Vision EQXX and is loaded with top-notch features and plenty of high-quality materials. Mercedes has revealed that the Concept CLA will boast a claimed range of 750 km! 

VinFast Wild

Alongside displaying production-spec models like the VF3, VF7 and VF9, VinFast is set to showcase the VF Wild as well at the Auto Expo 2025. It is an electric pickup truck which measures around 5.3 metres in length and 1,997 mm in width. It gets an expandable bed (payload bay) that can be extended from five to eight feet with the rear seats folded down automatically. There are no details of its specifications yet. It will get a fixed panoramic glass roof and digital ORVMs. If introduced in India in the future, it would be interesting to have an electric pickup truck, a unique concept in the Indian car market. 

Mahindra BE Rall.e

The Mahindra BE Rall.e is expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. It will be a more rugged version of the BE 6, based on the same INGLO platform. The concept SUV could be production-ready by the end of 2025, thereby adding another capable off-roader to Mahindra’s stable. Everything here looks pumped up, including larger off-road specific tyres, chunkier wheel arches and an overall beefed-up appearance which makes it look like BE 6 on steroids. Just like the BE 6, it is expected to come with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs, capable of providing a range of around 650 km. One can expect interior details to be revealed at the Auto Expo 2025. 

Tata Sierra ICE 

Alongside the production-ready version of the Tata Sierra EV, Tata will also be showcasing the Tata Sierra ICE at the Auto Expo 2025, in the concept form. Its design elements are expected to be shared with the electric version, featuring connected headlights and tail lights, flush door handles and large alloy wheels.

The Sierra ICE concept might introduce the new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. This engine produces 170 PS and 280 Nm and is likely to be paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Moreover, Tata could offer it with a 2-litre 4-cylinder diesel motor that powers the on-sale Harrier and Safari. This engine churns out 170 PS and 350 Nm and is mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Skoda Vision 7S

The Skoda Vision 7S is a seven-seater SUV Concept, set to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2025. The concept gets a sharp design with plenty of modern elements and it is expected to get a futuristic design for the interior with several high-end features. The concept SUV boasts of a WLTP-claimed range of over 600 km, and credit for that can be given to its 89 kWh battery.

Honourable Mentions 

If you have watched the movie “Tarzan: The Wonder Car” then you might be aware of the brand DC! The good news is that DC will be returning to the markets as “DC2”, and it has also been confirmed that the automaker will be showcasing the DC Mercury at the Auto Expo. The Mercury is expected to come with an innovative and futuristic design which makes it a car to watch out for at the Expo. 

We also expect Tata to showcase the Sumo Concept at the Auto Expo 2025. The butch SUV is likely to make a comeback in the Indian market and one can expect Tata to offer it with a 4x4 powertrain and rugged looks, staying true to the roots of the SUV.
