Rome-based custom bike maker CC Garage is quite popular at home for turning Ducatis into striking custom bikes. But since change is the only constant, this time around it’s an electric bike -- the Zero SR/F in particular -- that’s received the CC Garage treatment.
Besides, the folks at CC Garage wanted to customise the Zero SR/F in a way that people confuse it with a conventional ICE bike, and that’s exactly what they’ve achieved.
Now, the Zero SR/F in its stock avatar already looks quite similar to a conventional bike with its faux fuel tank, tank shrouds, and the positioning of the motor, but CC Garage has upped all of it by a notch. This is courtesy the bolt-on body kit with a new tank cover, a big fairing for the motor, and an all-new tail section -- all of it finished in a deep, crimson red shade.
Additionally, there’s a multi-projector LED headlight (one of our favourite aspects of the bike) and black fork covers up front.
For the finishing touches, CC Garage has teamed up with Rizoma to give the bike special footpegs, swanky bar-end mirrors, and premium fluid reservoirs.
Since this is a bolt-on kit, CC Garage claims all of it can be reversed in merely three hours. Why someone would want to do that, though, is beyond our understanding.
Usually in ICE bikes, all these updates come with a few performance mods too. However, CC Garage has left the Zero SR/F electric bike unchanged from within. So the bike continues to belt out an impressive 111PS and 190Nm from its motor, and boasts a range of 365km in the city.
The Zero SR/F is suspended on a premium 43mm USD fork and a monoshock -- both adjustable and sourced from Showa.
Owing to all the premium components, the Zero SR/F carries a price tag of around Rs 18 lakh (excluding taxes) in the UK. And with the CC Garage bits added, we expect the figure to go up a few thousand Euros.
